Aggie Web Developers Website Redesign
"Aggie Web Developers is an on-campus organization dedicated to empowering Aggies to build technical prowess in web development, network with peers and industry contacts, and learn more about careers in the technology industry." I joined AWD and got involved in the a project to revamp the AWD website itself. During the summer of 2021, I worked with the vice president and co-founder to create a new UI/UX design from scratch. In addition to having designed the new UI, I am also going to be implementing it using my front-end development skills. This was part of a team instead of solo, so I was assigned only a portion of website—the homepage. Due to logistical issues, I may end up being allowed to do the rest of the site as well, but for now, a video of me demoing the homepage is shown below. It's already fully responsive (i.e. it readjusts nicely to fit different screen widths), and, as a side note, the carousels shown in the video were made from scratch—not only are they responsive, but they're also optimized for traversal and image-loading.
